My main Web site (www.judywebster.com.au) has more than 70,000 names from Archives records, certificates, cemetery headstones, etc; free advice about sources and problem-solving techniques for family history; and my own family tree.
I have been interested in family history since the 1970s. Most of my personal research involves England, Scotland and Australia, but I recently discovered an Irish ancestor. I also have German and Prussian forebears. Use the tabs above to go to pages with details of surnames and places I am researching.
In 1986 I established my own part-time business as a professional genealogist, and I was subsequently accredited by the Australasian Association of Genealogists and Record Agents. I have a Graduate Diploma in Local and Applied History (University of New England, Armidale NSW). In 2001 I received the Queensland Family History Society's Award for Services to Family History.
My professional speciality is research at Queensland State Archives. I particularly enjoy tracing living descendants and working with unusual sources that overcome 'dead ends' in family history research. My Web site includes details of my publications, seminars and research services.
On a more personal note... my interests (apart from family history) include reading, gardening, travel, and collecting postcards.

Email: Allow several weeks for a reply, as I am often away for family reasons. An email address is in the sidebar here, and my main Web site lists an alternative address. If you do not receive a response to an email, it may be because your Internet Service Provider rejected my reply (especially if you use Yahoo or Hotmail). Contact me again quoting an alternative email address, or write a letter to my postal address.
